Round Bolster Pillow – Cylindrical cushions can be both functional and a decorative accessory in the design of a room. Used as a pillow, a simple construction round reinforce filled with polyester or buckwheat filler provides support for the neck. As a decorative element, the sports pillow can push piping, lace, ribbon, a zippered aperture and a specially shaped foam or tube down filled with filler. Once you know the basic building steps, you can create reinforced pillows in any size, with materials ranging from simple to ornate.
Instructions: 1. Create a circular template 10 inches in diameter using cardboard. 2. Cut two pieces of fabric using the template. (These will be the pieces from the ends of the bolster). 3. Cut a 29 and a quarter inches by 23 inches rectangle from the fabric. (This will be the tubular main body of the bedside round bolster pillow.) 4. Stay half-inch stitches from the edge around each of the two circular pieces of fabric. (Stay seam is simply a seam row used to stabilize the fabric).

5. Notches cut from the edge of the fabric to the stay seam, an inch away around the circumference of the circular pieces. 6. Fold the fabric rectangle in half, with the wrong side facing out, matching the edges 23 inches. Sew together along this edge round bolster pillow, leaving a five-inch opening in the center. NOTE: Use half-inch seams for all measurements.
